Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series....

We love the NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish! The product is creamy, easy to apply, pigmented, FAST DRYING, and available in a variety of shades! And, it looks like that array of polish shades just got BIGGER! NYC has released seven new shades to add to this lovely line--permanently (these are NOT limited edition)! If you love nail polish as much as we do, then A) either you already know about these new additions and are probably skipping this part of the post and looking at the colors and reviews; or B) you are squealing with delight and could not be more grateful about this post. If you fit into the A category, then we are sorry for slowing you down (although, you're probably not actually reading this if you're an A I don't know why I am talking to you). If you fit into the B, then you're welcome, and hold on to your hat and brace yourself for the pretty, drool-worthy pictures!

We found the new shades on this "NYC Show Stopper!" display at Rite Aid last, where each polish was $1.99, but they had a BOGO (Buy One Get One Half Off) deal. As you can see, the seven new shades include: a glittery gold, a dark and glittery blue, a bright blue, a want-to-be mint green, a cool purple, a want-to-be peach, and a light pink.

We picked up three of them and have tried them out for swatch photos and reviews, just for you! So, let's just jump right into it, shall we?!

First off, we have "Mint'ed on Broadway," which is I was BEYOND excited to get. We were hoping it would be a nice, true mint shade. However, we were disappointed in the color, because this is definitely not a true mint. It's too dark and too bluish-grayish-toned. (It reminds me a lot of Wet n Wild's "I Need a Refresh-Mint" which is beautiful, but definitely too blue to be mint). Fortunately, though, we were not disappointed in the quality of the polish! It goes on super smooth and creamy, and two coats is all I needed. And did I mention that we love how fast these dry?! They feel dry to the touch after about two minutes, and totally dry between five and ten.

Next, we have "Hamptons Peach," which we expected would be a really nice, true peach. Again, this is a want-to-be (thanks for getting our hopes up with the name AGAIN, NYC!) and is too pinkish-orange to be that true peach we were hoping for. It is a salmon, melon type color, really (goes on pinker than in the bottle). However, we were definitely impressed with the quality, which is pretty much the same as the "Mint'ed on Broadway" and probably every other color in the line--creamy, easy to apply, only needs two coats, and dries super fast.

Finally, we have "Lafayette Pink," which is a light, yet bright pink with a fantastic, creamy, shiny finish! This one did not let us down AT ALL! It is such a pretty pink (goes on a bit brighter than in the bottle). In fact, if we had to pick one must-have out of the seven, this would be it! It is feminine, bright, and happy, without being too flashy. Again, the quality is super high--just needs an easy two coats and dries quickly with a great finish.

Although the names of two shades got us hoping for something different, we still like all three colors and are happy to have them! We just wish companies would use names that more accurately depict a polish's color (or at least do not lead you astray, under the totally wrong color impression!). And of course, we could not be happier with the great quality. We love that NYC offers such at great, low prices!
