DIY TUTU CAN: THE SEQUEL!

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series....

Watch out, kids!! IT'S BAAAAAAACK!! ;)

What's back, you ask? Well, let me tell you...

Back in March, we shared a girly tutu can (pencil holder) we made, and we loved it so much (and YOU, our viewers loved it so much--it is our most re-pinned project on Pinterest) we decided to make another one a few days ago! We used the same techniques and the same kind of materials, we just went for a different color scheme: green and purple! Take a look....

How cute is that?! I dare you to tell me it's not the most adorable paint brush holder EVER!!

If you want to make your own tutu can, I have good news: it's super simple! Just grab a soup can, a cutter, your hot glue gun, some paper, tulle, sequins, buttons, and Mod Podge, and we will get started!

First, cut your paper to size (depending on the size of your can), and use Mod Podge to stick it to the can! Put a rubber band on the can, cut the tulle into strips, and wrap the strips around the rubber band. Hot glue some sequins on top of the rubber band, and hot glue on the buttons, too!

And, BAM!! You have yourself a super, super cute tutu can to store pencils, brushes, or whatever else!

Thanks for reading! We hope you love using your HOT GLUE gun as much as we do, and will give this girly, SPARKLY project a try! And if you do, let us know how it turns out! Happy crafting!

For this project, we used a soup can that we already had on hand, and a hot glue gun we've had for a long time, as well as some rubber bands, 6'' tulle, Mod Podge, flower gemstones, sequin ribbon, and sparkly pink paper. We got some really fun materials that we have leftovers of, and everything was purchased at discounted prices! Yay for Hobby Lobby coupons and sales!
Basically, we cut the paper to size and used Mod Podge to stick it to the can. We wrapped a rubber band around the can, trimmed the tulle into little strips, and stuck the strips through the rubber band. We hot glued the sequins above the tulle. Then we just glued on the flowers, and popped in the pencils! It was pretty simple, quick, cheap, and obviously SUPER CUTE!
